TV: Could you live without it 201102010 여민주 Minju Yeo

Televisions have become an essential for every family since long time ago. They surely plays an important role in people's everyday life and some people allocate a considerable portion of their time to watch TV shows when they plan their day. However, I strongly believe that I could live without TV. I actually has been living without it since I was in middle school. First, there are many alternatives for television, such as computer or other electronic devices. Therefore, I can choose to watch some of the programs that are necessary. If people have TV in their house, they spend way too much time than they expected and watch many things that are not so necessarily helpful for them. It is the same for me, so it's better for me to just choose programs to watch and save my time. Second, instead of watching TV, you can have more conversation with your family. These days there's a lack of conversation between family members because of TV. My family talks a lot since we don't have television in our house. I think it is an advantage that we don't own one. In conclusion, I can use alternatives of TV and do something else that is meaningful instead of watching TV. Therefore, TV is not necessary and I definitely can live without it.

  1. I noticed that your reason for being able to live without television was similar to mine because I also belive that there are various alternatives for television. Moreover, less time spent on watching television means more time for other productive activities. Besides a few grammatical errors, I think your ideas are well-delivered in your writing. Nice work ;)
